Peru has a combination of landforms of mountain ranges, topography variation, tropical latitude, and two ocean currents which are El Nino and Humboldt. Because of these varying landforms, Peru has variations in climates in different regions. For example, the mountain region has frequent rain during the summer season with temperature and humidity that decreases as we go at a higher altitude above the sea level up to the frozen high peaks of Andes mountain while the coastal region has moderate temperatures, high humidity, and low precipitation.
The Amazon in Peru receives heavy rainfall and has high temperatures, but the southernmost part of Amazon in Peru has cold winters and seasonal rainfall.
