The location of the Republic of Uganda or simply Uganda can be best understood by using a Blank Uganda Map. From the map, we can see that it is a landlocked country situated in East-Central Africa. Apart from these two official languages other languages that are spoken in the country are Luganda (a central language that is widely spoken in the country), Lusoga, Luo, Lango, Runyoro, Acholi, Rukiga, and Runyankole. Uganda got its freedom from the rule of the United Kingdom on 9 October 1962 with Queen Elizabeth II both as head of state and Queen of Uganda. In October 1963, despite Uganda being a republic country maintained its membership in the Commonwealth of Nations.

Out of 60 protected area, Uganda has 10 national parks that include two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Rwenzori Mountains National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while others are Semuliki National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Mount Elgon National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, and Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The geographical topography of Uganda is diverse that consists of lakes, mountains, and volcanic hills. The country is located at an average height of 900 meters above sea level. Uganda is surrounded by mountains from both eastern and western parts and Alexandra that is 5,.94 meters high is the highest peak in Uganda in the Ruwenzori mountain range. Despite being a landlocked country, Uganda has no shortage of lakes. It contains many large lakes such as Lake Victoria, Lake Kyoga, Lake Albert, and Lake Edward, and the smaller Lake George. Uganda lies in the African Great Lakes region and within the Nile basin with a varied but generally a modified equatorial climate.

Among the major crimes that prevail in the country, Child labor and child abuse are quite common in Uganda. Many children work in the agricultural sector and those who work on tobacco farms are exposed to severe health hazards. Many children face sexual abuse, child trafficking. Although slavery and forced labor are prohibited by the Ugandan constitution still it happens in the country. All these led to the deterioration in the mental and physical health of children who were considered as the future of any country.

Uganda is among the poorest country in the world which suffered from hunger, poverty, malnutrition, low living standard, and many other social problems. About 84% of the Uganda population lives below the poverty line in the rural areas. Uganda has a long list of problems to overcome that may take many decades. Eradicating social problems requires strategies, the faith of people in government, and people who can apply proper rules and regulations in the country.
Uganda needs immediate attention from its government to work toward poverty and crimes that are destroying the country.
