The Bahamas is the home to the third-largest Barrier reef in the world. The Andros Barrier Reef stretches to a distance of 190 miles and sits along the edge of Tongue of the Ocean. The Andros Barrier is unique and different from the other two largest Barrier reefs as instead of lying flat on the ocean floor, the reef stretched downward up to a depth of 6,000 feet.
